Rihanna has suffered facial injuries after she “flipped over” and bruised her face on an electric scooter, according to reports in the US. It comes after photos emerged of the star with what looked like bad bruising on her face; as she sat in a car outside a restaurant in Los Angeles on Friday.
Entertainment websites People and TMZ reported that Rihanna was involved in an accident on an electric scooter. In a statement to People, the singer’s representative said she was “healing quickly”.
“She’s completely fine now; but Rihanna flipped over on an electric scooter last week and bruised her forehead and face,” the star’s representative said in a quote.
“Luckily there were no major injuries and she is healing quickly,” Rihanna’s representatives concluded. Apparently, the injuries looked worse than they actually were.
Rihanna has been pretty lowkey for months; only popping up on the radar when she has a new product to launch. The Fenty business mogul has a clothing and lingerie label, a makeup brand; and now a skincare brand under her belt.
With no musical release since 2016’s ANTI, Rihanna fans, who call themselves the Navy; have begun to lose hope that the Barbadian singer will ever return to the music industry.
