infamous Nigerian reality show, Big Brother Naija Returns to our television screens on the 24th of July, 2021.
The sixth season of Big Brother Naija, according to the producers of the show, will have a double launch show on Saturday and on Sunday.
Also with the grand prize of 90 million naira at stake, housemates are expected to be entertaining and to win the hearts of Nigerians.
The Big Brother Naija is a reality competition television show, where 12 to 21 contestants live together in an isolated house and compete for the large cash prize.
Rules are set in place by Big Brother, and if any of the rules are breached, housemates are likely to be ejected. The reality TV show has produced multiple winners in the past, changing the lives of many to celebrity status.
Here are the winners of the past BBN and what they’re doing now:
Katung Aduwak
The winner of the first season of Big Brother Naija, Katung Aduwak, is a scriptwriter, filmmaker, producer and director. The 41 year old was the first to win the $100,000 cash prize back in 2006.
Efe Ejeba
The infamous Efe was the winner of the second Big Brother Naija season themed “See Gobbe” in 2017. Efe continued to make a name for himself after leaving the house as a rapper, singer and songwriter who has worked with some big names including Olamide, Boj and Ice Prince.
Miracle Igbokwe
The winner of BBN season 3, Miracle, did not necessarily pursue a career in entertainment after leaving the house. His dream was to become a pilot before he became a housemate, so he pursued this dream after leaving the house. Also, “Captain” Miracle is now an Aviator, Farmer, Education Ambassador and Entertainer.
Mercy Eke
Mercy Eke made history as being the first woman to win Big Brother Naija in it’s fourth season in 2019. She is a Nigerian actress, model, media personality, video vixen and entertainer from Imo state.
Also, she has won an African Magic Viewer’s Choice Award (AMVCA) and has played a role in the movie “Fate of Alakada”
Olamilekan “Laycon” Agbeleshe was the winner of Big Brother Naija season 5 in 2020. Laycon was a controversial housemate after he got into an “entanglement” with another famous ex-housemate, Erica.
