Nigerian musician and rapper, Rema, has his recently released album hitting over 1billion streams across all streaming platforms.

Legally known as Divine Ikubor, the fast-rising world superstar released his debut album “Rave and Roses” earlier this year featuring international artists like Chris Brown, AJ Tracey, and others.

The album has now gained over 1billion streams across all streaming platforms. He also received a plaque while on tour, from his A&R, Rema Tahini, in honor of this great achievement.

In appreciation to receiving the plaque, Rema says:

“This is for you, this belongs to you, you deserve it. I want to say thank you for your love, for your support. Thank you so much for believing in my ideas, my crazy sound. First when I came out, a lot of people laughed at me. They said I was too different, my sound was Indian. And now look at this boy!”

Rema now joins the list of artists who have amassed 1billion streams in 2022. Asake’s “Mr. Money”, Burna Boy’s “Love, Damini” and others.
