Rema‘s hit track ‘Calm Down’ continues to soar globally, making waves as the top Afrobeats export internationally.
This is following its remarkable feat of reaching NO. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100
Adding to its accolades, ‘Calm Down’ has now claimed the title of the most played song on US radio.
Surpassing Miley Cyrus’s ‘Flowers’, Rema’s track conquered the Billboard Radio Chart, amassing an impressive 97.68 million impressions in the US.
‘Calm Down’ also etched its name in history as the first African song to conquer the US Pop radio charts.
It is the highest-charting Nigerian song on the Billboard Hot 100, second only to South Africa’s Hugh Masekala’s 1968 record ‘Grazing In The Grass’.
As the song’s rise continues, it is predicted to compete for the NO. 2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 next week.
