18-year-old Mavin youngster, Rema, stole the hearts of many early this year when he came into the limelight after catching the eye of Mavin boss, Don Jazzy, with his freestyles on social media; the producer made no hesitation in signing him to the label.
The fast-rising star took to social media recently to disclose how Kcee, “Limpopo Master”, motivated him when they met backstage three years ago at a concert in his hometown, Benin. Kcee, at the time, had no idea who Rema was or who he would become.
According to him, he asked for a picture with him and the “Erima” crooner gladly consented and offered some words of advice which motivated him; Rema, in his post, described Kcee as a “Legend”.
He tweeted: “3 years ago I met Kcee backstage in Benin and I asked for a pic and he gladly accepted, I was really motivated after that pic, it meant a lot. Last night I met him backstage and I told him about 3 years ago and he told me how proud he is to see how far I’ve come. Respect LEGEND”
In response to the tweet, Kcee offered words of prayer to the young artiste. He wrote: “God bless you and make you bigger, I know you’re going somewhere the world will see you more”.
God bless you and make you bigger, I know you’re going somewhere the world will see you more.
