Divine Ikubor, Mavin Records-signed Nigerian singer better known as Rema, has been named BET’s artiste of the month.
Mavin Records announced via social media that the 19-year-old singer Rema was named artiste of the month by BET (Black Entertainment Television) under its global artiste, spotlight, ‘Amplified.’

Although BET is yet to make the announcement on any of its official social media pages. Within a short span of time, Rema has become a dominant presence, seducing his way into our hearts; through frosty Casanova-esque lyrics and soft, sultry singing that got an entire generation in their feels.
Just recently, Aubrey Drake, Canadian rapper and singer-songwriter, better known as Drake announced his upcoming projects with Rema.
During a live session with his fans on Instagram, the award-winning rapper was seen jamming to Dumebi, one of Rema’s hit songs. He also laud the Bad Commando crooner, .

BET is known for celebrating blackness and being a voice for the oppressed. While its activist entertainment and spotlighting was initially limited to America; it has grown to be a searchlight to celebrate black people across the world.
