Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko Expecting First Child Together

Regina Daniels, Nollywood actress and Ned Nwoko, her politician husband, are expecting the arrival of their first child.

The news of the movie star’s pregnancy was announced via social media by her husband.

The politician and businessman took to his Instagram page to share a photo of the pregnant actress with a terse caption.

It is now official. I am excited to announce that my baby is having a baby ❤️ @regina.daniels,” he wrote.

Nwoko, 54, and Regina Daniels have made the headlines on several occasions and taken centre stage on social media for their marriage and public display of affection despite the apparent age difference between them. The couple held their traditional wedding held on May 26, 2019, in Aniocha local government area, Delta State.

Rita Daniels speaks on daughter’s marriage

In an interview with BBC Pidgin in 2019, Rita Daniels, mother to the 20-year-old registered her displeasure with those who criticize the young actress for “marrying Methuselah”.

“The girl you all refer to as a child is actually an adult if you consider intelligence and maturity. Those who open their stinking mouth to criticize her can’t even measure to her wisdom. Regina would be 20, come October 10th. So, what are we talking about here? Hasn’t she tried enough?” she asked in pidgin English.

“She had told me she wanted to marry at a young age. But people keep exclaiming ‘Ah, Regina married Methuselah, an old man.’ What’s the problem here? I’ve never seen people obsess this much over something that doesn’t concern them. Did Regina come out crying, saying she was forced into the marriage? It’s sheer love!

“Even as her mother, I don’t have the right to dissuade her from marrying her love interest. Some of our celebrities die single in their homes. And critics say nothing about this. Others, after marriage, lament over their choice of youngsters.”

Daniels became a popular figure when she featured in a Nollywood movie titled Miracle Child in 2010, which featured the likes of Ini Edo, Chika Ike and Mercy Johnson.
