Who would have thought the beloved popular Instagram comedian, Maraji, real name Gloria Oloruntobi, would be the talk of the Twitter community and for bad?
Well, the young comedian’s post was well-calculated as it seems to have hit her “target audience” during the eid el-Kabir season.
Maraji sparked up reactions from fans when she took to her Instagram story to say that all other religious deities are false, as Jesus is the only way to Heaven.
See post below:
While some Twitter users slammed her, describing her post as ‘insensitive’, some have lauded her actions, saying she only reiterated what Nigerians have been hearing in church for years now.
Some Muslim faithfuls on the mini blogging platform however, took her post as an “insult”, considering the timing of the post.
Here are some reactions:
Maraji really sacrificed herself to keep Twitter and Instagram entertained on a Public Holiday? Got to respect such selflessness.

Maraji said what your Pastor, your parents and your Sunday school teachers have been saying for years and you are on Twitter canceling her ?

Maraji is not talking to Muslims. I’m a Muslim, & I serve only one God. That God is called Allah in Arabic. Lots of Christians are Arabs or speak Arabic. God is Allah in Arabic (She no sabi). I believe in Jesus (Isa), may blessings of Allah be upon him. She’s not talking to U & I pic.twitter.com/lGspJtnZRc

Maraji was very insensitive posting that on their festive day knowing her influence and diverse audience.
However what Maraji said is the very foundation of Christianity…like a basic tenet of the religion.
I'm not a religious person but let's not pretend please.

Remember that people are also entitled to their opinion.— 🌸L A D E🌸 (@jolaadeidris) August 12, 2019
Maraji let out her opinion and people aren't having it, she doesn't have to seek validations from anyone to do that.
Now the issue is "Wrong opinion" or "Wrong Timing"? pic.twitter.com/tSingTY5ks— 𝙷𝙾𝙴𝚕𝚘𝚢𝚎 𝙰𝚢𝚘! 🍆🍑💦 (@HoeAyo) August 12, 2019
