Following COZA’s founder and senior pastor, Biodun Fatoyinbo’s announcement of his decision to step down from the church – a “leave of absence from the pulpit” – mixed feelings have clouded social media.
While some people applaud his decision, others are certain the persecuted clergy will be vindicated and some are here for bants.
Read some of their reactions below:
Dear Lord, calm every storm. I'm certain you wouldn't cast a stone even if anyone's proven guilty. Give strength to @BiodunFatoyinbo
and his family, especially his wife. Please be the other in the fire. Thank you for Peace. Amen.#cozaprotest— Moses Jerry (@jerrymya) July 1, 2019
Most of those in the church today are not Christians but wolfs.
They allowed themselves to be used against the church.
Same thing was said about Apostle Johnson Suleiman some times ago. Yet some people are so dumb to circulate this senseless news on social media.#cozaprotest— Edward Abiodun Ogunleye (@EdwardAbiodunO1) July 1, 2019
intimidated or brainwashed. This has shown that we have power when we speak with one voice and kick against wrong doings. "Right thinking Nigerians", I hail oh!!!#cozaprotest

Pastor Biodun stepping down isn't called weak, He's simply seeking God's mercy, distancing himself from the church and preparing to fight. The Dakolo's should be ready alot will be revealed. We go know who don dey pay bills since. #cozaprotest

While we are all trending #COZAGate #NotInMyChurch and dragging #Cozapastor and doing #cozaprotest, IF YOU HAVE EVER RAPED OR SEXUALLY ASSAULTED ANY WOMAN, ESPECIALLY A GIRL CHILD, MAY GOD PERSONALLY PUNISH YOU! MAY YOUR HEART FEEL THE PAIN YOU CAUSED HER AND EVEN MORE. AMEN 🙏

I don't stand with Pastor Biodun neither do I stand with Busola Dakolo. Biodun and Busola are humans. Biodun could do it, Busola too could lie. I stand with truth and will appreciate necessary investigation to reveal the absolute truth. #cozaprotest

Fatoyinbo made the announcement today after pressure was mounted on him to step down following the rape accusation levelled against him by Bisola Dakolo, wife of singer Timi Dakolo.
