CANADIAN rapper, Houdini has been shot dead in downtown Toronto.

The 21-year-old lyricist was killed on Tuesday, May 26, 2020, outside the Bisha Hotel in Toronto’s Entertainment District.

According to Toronto Police, the incident was a targeted shooting.

Giving details of the incident, Toronto Police Chief, Mark Saunders described the shooting as “very brazen” and revealed that cops responded swiftly to the gunfire.

According to him, the attack was planned and suspects had been waiting in their car for around 40 minutes before opening fire.

“It turns out the suspect vehicle, based on the evidence we have right now, was waiting for about forty minutes for the occupants of another vehicle to arrive at their vehicle.

“When they did, the suspect vehicle made a U-turn, came out, and started firing at this group of individuals.”

“This was very brazen, this offence that took place. However, it’s very solvable…

“There was a driver of the suspect vehicle and we know that the shooter got out on the passenger side,” Saunders explained.

Houdini, who grew up in Brampton, Ont., was one of the most-streamed independent Canadian rappers, with 9.2 million plays on Spotify in 2019.

May his soul rest in peace.
