The infamous reality television show, Big Brother Naija, premiered their new season on the 24th of July, 2021.
The show introduced Eleven new housemates to the nation, who also happened to be the male contestants for the 90 million naira grand prize.
Let’s meet the contestants;
JAYPAUL
Paul “JayPaul” Ephraim is a Nigerian presenter, singer and actor. He is 29 years old and hails from Calabar, Cross River. He owns a tourist and tourism company as well.
According to him, he is a “jack of all trades”, is occasionally described as a playboy, doesn’t take life too seriously and will be entertaining viewers from the beginning to the end of the show.
YERINS
Despite being in the house for a couple hours, Yerins is already trending for several reasons. Yerins is a medical doctor who’s very passionate about creativity. He is an artist and model who has graced the cover of a Paris magazine, Malvie.
WHITEMONEY
Hazel Oyeze Onou, also known as Whitemoney, is a businessman and entrepreneur. He is 29 years old and was born in Enugu state. Whitemoney describes himself as an open-minded “jolly pleasant person” who has an aura of swag that speaks for itself. He enjoys driving, hustling and making music and aims to win the 90 million naira prize.
CROSS
Ikechukwu Sunday “Cross” Okonkwo is a 30 year old fitness enthusiast and entrepreneur. His hobbies includes clubbing, watching movies and travelling. He also describes himself as a fun, loving, spontaneous man who wears his heart on his sleeves.
PERE
Pere is a warri boy, singer, artiste and real estate agent. According to Pere, he is called the Drama King and is very determined to win this season of Big Brother Naija.
YOUSEF
Yousef is a teacher from Plateau, Jos. He teaches Basic Technology in a secondary school and claims to be a womens favorite. He hopes to find a soulmate in the show.
NIYI LAWAL
Niyi Lawal is a 34-year old businessman, former basketballer from Oyo state who also runs a fantasy game platform and event business in Cape Town, South Africa. He also describes himself as the life of the party. He is happily married and is a father of a three year old.
EMMANUEL
This 24 year old was the first Nigerian to win Mister Africa. Emmanuel Umoh was born in Akwa Ibom and is a Civil engineer. Emmanuel also describes himself as a “sucker for love” and believes his physical (and social) characteristics are assets that can draw a lot of attention to him.
SAMMIE
Samuel “Sammie” Jacob Alfa is a 26 year old amateur filmmaker and final year student in Ahmadu Bello University. His hobbies includes dining, hanging out, videography, basketballing and hopes to be a big time filmmaker in the near future.
He produced his first film in 2020 and hopes to expand his YouTube series to reach a larger audience.
BOMA
Being the only housemate so far to be verified on Instagram before getting into the house, Boma Martins Akpore born in Lagos, is 34 year old actor, model, footballer and mixologist.
He was the youngest model to grace the Nigerian fashion week runway back in 2004. According to Boma, he also has hopes of becoming a professional footballer until modelling came calling.
SAGA
Adeoluwa “Saga” Okusaga, is a 28 year old “bad boy” born in Port Harcourt. He is an offshore engineer who came to the spotlight after appearing on the reality tv show.
