Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable has taken social media to show off his new look as he tenders a heartfelt apology to Fuji music icon Saheed Osupa following his release from a correctional facility in Kwara State.
The singer in a video shared on his Instagram page on Tuesday evening, wore a clean-shaven head appearance while expressing remorse to the musician.
“God bless you, sir. I am sorry, Bami,” he wrote, acknowledging his missteps and showing appreciation.
It would be recalled that Saheed Osupa, the renowned Fuji musician, in a surprising turn of events on Tuesday announced the discontinuation of the legal action against fellow musician Portable.
Recall, the Kwara State Police Command had detained the singer over allegations including criminal defamation, threat to life, incitement and conduct likely to cause a breach of peace.
The lawsuit was initiated by Osupa’s management team alleged intellectual property rights violations and defamation.
According to Osupa’s team, the objective of the lawsuit was to set a precedent that would promote responsibility among artists, particularly younger ones. However, following emotional appeals from prominent figures, including Alhaji Ahmad Lawal and Saheed Ibile, Osupa decided to drop the case.

Osupa’s team highlighted: “Please note that this decision is driven by compassion and the hope that this moment will serve as a turning point in Portable’s life and career, as Osupa believes that while accountability is essential, mercy, too, is a pillar of leadership. He hopes that Portable will seize this opportunity for reflection, growth, and transformation.”
