Babatunde Gbadamosi, a former Lagos state gubernatorial candidate, has been arrested and detained by the Lagos state police command for attending Funke Akindele‘s house party, in violation to the lockdown order in the state.
Gbadamosi’s detention comes hours after Funke kindele and Abdulrasheed Bello, her husband; got a 14-day community service each for throwing a birthday party in contravention of the ongoing lockdown in Lagos.
The politician was partying in the viral video with the actress; who threw the house party for her husband’s 43rd birthday.
The party took place in the couples’ residence in Amen Estate, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos state.
The Lagos State Police had disclosed earlier that efforts are intensified to arrest the remaining persons in the video. They include singer Naira Marley, who surrendered himself to the police yesterday.
Following the arrest of the actress, Babatunde Gbadamosi took to his Twitter page to apologize. He explained that he had gone to the Bello‘s residence; thinking he would only meet the family and their staff.
