Nollywood legend Pete Edochie recently praised Genevieve Nnaji as his favorite on-screen daughter during an interview with media personality and YouTuber Chude Jideonwo.
Edochie expressed his admiration for Nnaji, describing her as exceptionally brilliant and stating that he loved her the most among all the actresses who played his daughters in films. He mentioned that he saw her as a daughter, and she saw him as a father.
The veteran actor and Nnaji shared a special on-screen father-daughter bond, notably in the film “Lionheart,” released in 2018.
However, Edochie expressed concern over not having heard from Nnaji and being unable to reach her. He shared that he had tried calling her but received no response. Edochie expressed his hope that one day she would reach out to him and assure him that she’s okay.
Genevieve Nnaji has been keeping a low profile since March 2022, after posting cryptic messages on her social media. There were reports that she was facing challenges with her mental health. She subsequently deleted all her Instagram posts, unfollowed everyone, and took a break from social media.
In November 2022, she made a public appearance at the Creative Africa Nexus event, where she was one of the speakers. Despite her public presence, Edochie’s concerns for her well-being remain, hoping that she will get in touch to let him know that she’s okay.
