The productions include Ankara & Black Playhouse’s Village Meeting; Ijolomo Dance Company’s Journey to the Future; Footprints Arts Ambassador’s Unity Dance and Gumboot Dance; Ennovate Dance Company’s Xombie; Tantoloun Productions The Call; Just Theatre House’s The Two Both of Us; Theatre Centrik Green Production’s My Story; Queen Zionelle’s Spoken Word; Art Castle Academy’s True Man of God; Kininso Koncept Production’s Bullsense.

WTD was initiated in 1961 by the International Theatre Institute. It is a day set aside to celebrate the values and importance of the art form, theatre and also acts as a wake-up call for government, politicians and institutions that are yet to recognise its value and its potential for economic growth.
