Despite his huge success in music, Patrick Okorie, popularly known as Patoranking, is yet to hold a solo concert, but that will change on February 14 at Transcorp Hilton, Abuja, as preparations have been concluded for his first concert.
Tagged ‘The Patoranking Experience,’ other top artistes including Niniola, Waje, Timaya, 2 Baba, Tekno, and Mayorkun are expected to join him in writing his history and making the day special for lovers.
Patoranking started his career by collaborating with XProject, Konga, Slam and Reggie Rockstone. He signed a record deal with K-Solo’s Igberaga Records in 2010, releasing ‘Up In D Club.’
Later, he joined Dem Mama Records after collaborating with Timaya on his song, ‘Alubarika.’ In February 2014, he signed a record deal with Foston Musik and released ‘Girlie O,’ which rocketed him to prominence. He has not looked back since then.
In January 2016, Patoranking was announced as one of the judges for the maiden edition of the singing competition The Voice Nigeria. Patoranking released his debut studio album God Over Everything on 1 August 2016. It features guest appearances from Phyno, Wizkid, Sarkodie, Olamide, Elephant Man and Wasiu Ayinde Marshall. The album debuted at No. 4 on Billboard‘s Reggae Albums chart
Just last week, the singer made his fans’ academic dreams come true by announcing that ten students will benefit from his new scholarship programme, “Patoranking Scholarship.”
Patoraking, known for his unique-fire flow said that the “scholarship will allow 10 young promising leaders to get a degree from Africa’s Most Innovative University.” The news came on the heels of the singer’s announcement that he is now a billionaire.
