Nollywood veteran Patience Ozokwor has congratulated Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on her appointment as director-general of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
The 62-year-old shared a video from WTO’s page of Okonjo-Iweala’s speech on Instagram on Monday. She said, “Super proud of our own Dr Okonjo-Iweala.”

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is the first female and first African head of the WTO. This is an inspiration to young black girls all over the world. As such, it has spurred the #BeLikeNgozi challenge, where young women pay tribute to the icon by dressing up in ankara and a headscarf as is Okonjo-Iweala’s signature style.
