‘Osuofia Goes To Miami’ To Debut In 2021

Nollywood film maker, Charles Okpaleke, is back with Osuofia Goes to Miami, a sequel to the 2003 comic movie Osuofia in London.

The second installment features Nkem Owoh who played the lead role in the first installment of the blockbuster and is set to debut in 2021.

Okpaleke, the chief executive officer (CEO) and co-founder of Play Networks, took to his Instagram page to make the announcement accompanied by the flyer of the movie.

“One thing I can assure you is when cinemas return, we’ve got it all lined up for the viewers till 2023. It’s called back to back! Let’s tell our stories the right way,” he wrote.

The 2003 blockbuster, originally produced by Kingsley Okoro follows the story of Osuofia, who leaves his village for London after the demise of Donatus, his brother. However, in his will, Donatus left Osuofia his huge estate as sole beneficiary.

In 2004, a sequel titled Osuofia in London 2 was released but it didn’t meet up with fans’ expectations.
