Osun 2022: Davido slams cousin over governorship ambition

Nigerian music superstar, David Adeleke, has slammed his cousin Bamidele Adeleke, over his decision to contest 2022 Osun State governorship election.

The singer took to his Twitter Page on Tuesday, where he shared his cousin’s provisional clearance certificate for the Osun State governorship election under the Peoples Democratic Party.

According to the Davido, his cousin who struggled to bag a Second Class Lower is claiming to be an intellectual.

He advised the good people of Osun to beware of who they throw their weight behind ahead of the forthcoming election.

He wrote “Wonderful! I finished university with a 2:1. But it’s now cousin Dele who struggled to even get a 2:2 that is now forming ‘intellectual’.

“Intellectual that has not succeeded in building one single thing in his life on his own. This life! Osun, beware of fakes!”

This comes after Senator Ademola Adeleke announced his intention to contest the Osun State election billed to hold this year; with Davido in support.

Earlier this year, Davido officially opened his new house in the Banana Island area of Lagos.

In December 2021, Davido gifted himself a brand new Lamborghini Aventador.

He revealed at the time that it was an early Christmas gift. He wrote “Christmas came early.

“I promise that was the last one. No more cars for a while.”
