The red carpet was rolled out for the Oscars 2020 on Sunday, 9, 2020 as the biggest and talented stars in Hollywood were honoured for delivering outstanding performances.
The 92nd Oscar awards took place at Los Angeles’ iconic Dolby Theatre with stars including Brad Pitt, Laura Dern and Quentin Taratino gracing the event. Despite more than a decade of the Awards being given out, the Oscars went without a host for the second time in three decades, after Kevin Hart stepped down when homophobic tweets he posted nearly a decade prior resurfaced online.
The South Koren film “Parasite” won best picture at the awards, its fourth gong of the night (it also took home best director for Bong Joon-ho, best international feature film and best original screenplay), doing better than expected. The win makes Parasite the first ever foreign-language film in the ceremony’s 92-year history to take the top prize.
