Actress Osas Ighodaro has announced her return to Nollywood after taking a short break which began in 2020. The actress went on a nearly four-month hiatus from filmmaking following the passing of her mother back in November 2020.
Ighodaro was devastated by the death of her mother, who died barely a week to her 65th birthday. She posted severally about it; calling her mother her “guardian angel”. She wrote, “Sweet Mama… your departure was truly a shock to us all bc you weren’t sick or anything but bc we are God’s children we will not question His will for us.”

Confirming her return to Nollywood months later, Ighodaro wrote on Instagram: “I’ve missed you all too. I am my Mothers Legacy and it’s time to get back to making her proud – so help me God. It’s been a very trying few months but I’m grateful for all the love and prayers and support you all have shown me.”
