Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, veteran Nollywood actress fondly called Omosexy by her fans, is celebrating over two decades in the entertainment industry.

The mother of four celebrated the anniversary with stunning photos of herself clad in a beautiful green dress which embraced her curves.

Taking to Instagram to express her surprise at her journey, and to thank God for supporting her rise to become one of the top entertainers in Africa; She wrote:

“What!!! Stop press Lol… It just occurred to me that:——>This year is My 25th Year in Entertainment!!! 25th Anniversary… 2020!!! #Timeflies #Godisgood #Grateful ”

Sharing another beautiful photo in the same dress, she wrote: “The laugh you have…When you know the Things Coming are Way bigger than the things past !#25yearsStrong “

From a relatively low background, the actress has had a blissful career, which has earned her several local and international recognition.

Omotola’s rise to stardom

While sharing her story to fame in the wake of #YetIWon challenge, which gained momentum in 2018, the singer had stated that her desire to succeed against all odds made her conscious of available opportunities.

“My dad died. Everything went downhill. It looked like even schooling had come to an end. All Hope seemed to have come to an end,” she said.

“I was able to stand against all odds beside my widowed mum. I wanted to be successful so bad, I was sensitive to all opportunities.

She comtinued: I escorted a friend to an acting audition, she didn’t get in, I did. I found my future… It was tough …#YetIwon.

“Fast forward to the ban on top actors. Everyone was banned for one year. I was banned for 2. I had always wanted to do music… my first love but there was no time. Now I had time, Against all odds I did and released my first Album “GBA” had a hit single “Naija Lowa”, was invited for the Grammy.

“My song “Barren Land from my second album “Me myself and eyes ” was adopted by Amnesty International and I was signed to Bungalo Universal. I earn royalties in $$$ … Despite the ups and downs ….. #YetIwon.”
