Popular Nollywood actress and film producer Omoni Oboli is nappy, evergreen and most enviously; ever young.
In a chat with Punch, she takes time to set few records straight about the status of her humanity – she is not a vampire (shocker) and has not had cosmetic surgery.
“That is all God. It is not a lifestyle, neither health, nor exercise or anything I have done. There are those who looked old coming out of their mother’s womb, and there are those who looked old while maintaining a healthy lifestyle, a disciplined exercise regime, or both. But I try to eat right, exercise occasionally and stay away from unhealthy foods. But the youthful look is purely genetic,” she explains when asked of the secret to her youthful look.
In reaction to the comment of being referred to as a vampire by some of her fans, she says “I’m a child of God. I don’t really feel anything. It’s meant as a compliment and that’s how I take it.” Not that we were doubtful but the clarification helps.
The mother of three handsome boys also shared tips on how to maintain beauty as a woman. She says every woman has to take her looks seriously and do the necessary things to keep it fresh and young.
“As a woman, you have to take your looks seriously. Not necessarily in living beyond your means but being consistent with the necessary things like washing your face regularly and making sure your makeup doesn’t stay on overnight.
Also, make sure you drink lots of water while maintaining a healthy diet. Don’t manufacture problems, especially with your spouse, for those who are married. These things I try to do to keep myself mentally and physically healthy,” she shares.
She goes further to endorse visits to spas and beauty parlour. “Anytime and any day possible, I’ll do that. It is a luxury that is worth it anytime you have the opportunity to do it,” she adds.
