Barely two months after its release, Omo Ghetto The Saga has ended The Wedding Party‘s four year reign as the highest grossing Nollywood movie.
After holding the number one spot for its third week in a row, statistics revealed by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of Nigeria (CEAN), shows that Omo Ghetto has so far grossed N468,036,300.
Kemi Adetiba‘s 2016 comedy film The Wedding Party follows behind with N453,000,000; while The Wedding Party 2 takes third place with N433,197,377.
There is no doubt that Omo Ghetto The Saga‘s box office achievements are impressive; as it was released amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The movie which was released on Christmas day is an emotional comedy film; co-directed by Funke Akindele and her husband JJC Skillz. It is a sequel to the 2010 released, Omo Ghetto.
It stars movie heavyweights such as Akindele in the dual role of Ayomide and Lefty, Adebayo Salami aka Oga Bello Tina Mba, AChioma Akpotha, Bimbo Thomas, Eniola Badmus, Deyemi Okanlawon, Zubby Michael, Mercy Aigbe, Timini Egbuson, and Alex Ekubo among others.
