Nigerian singer, Stanley Omah Didia, better known as Omah Lay has been named BET’s artiste of the month.
According to the American television channel, the fast-rising star earned the honour as their “seal of approval on the next big thing in music.”
“BET International is proud to announce @omah_lay as our November “BET Amplified International” Artist of The Month! BET Amplified is our seal of approval on the next big thing in music! Stay tuned to our social accounts to see more of Omah Lay throughout the month of November,” it announced on its official Twitter account.
Omah Lay’s musical journey started at the age of 15 as a member of the rap group, Lil King.
In 2019 Omah Lay released two singles Do Not Disturb and Hello Brother; both of which ended up securing him a growing fanbase.

With a blend pf Afrobeats, R&B and pop, his debut EP Get Layd, has been the #1 album on Apple Music Nigeria since its release in May 2020; with all 5 songs from the EP featuring on the Nigerian Top 10 singles chart.
Omah Lay known for hit songs like Damn, Lo Lo and Bad Influence, got American Grammy nominee; 6lack to jump on the remix of Damn.
