Olamide recently rebuffed claims making rounds that his YBNL (Yahoo Boy No Laptop) label is facing a rough patch since the exit of some of the big names from his label over the past three years.
The rapper reiterated his disconcert with such insinuations, adding that he would rather focus on his music and promote his artistes rather than commenting on such. He also added that he had stayed long enough in the industry to know what he should be focusing on.
“YBNL is not sinking. I can tell you that we are stronger as a team than ever before. Whatever anybody says does not hold any water because I know my boys are fired up to deliver anytime,” he commented.
On a newly released single titled ‘Oil and Gas’, Olamide takes this chance to praise the men of the upper echelon in Nigerian society. Throughout the song, he envisions what he could do with wealth like theirs, imploring that they can’t spend all the money so he should get some too. Produced by YBNL in-house Producer, Pheelz, ‘Oil & Gas’ is a zanku-ready song.
