Obi Cubana sends mother off in style with 346 cows

Prominent nightlife businessman, Obi Iyiegbu popularly known as Obi Cubana celebrates his mother’s burial in his hometown Obi in Anambra state today.

The socialite who owns the Cubana group as well as several nightclubs in Lagos, Abuja and Owerri lost his mother back in December 2020. The burial ceremony for the late Ezinne Uche Iyiegbu took place earlier today.

Obi Cubana’s mother’s burial celebration has set tongues in motion all over the country. Social Media has been buzzing with images and videos detailing the gifts the businessman has received from friends, employees and well wishers.

He received a total of 46 cows from former employee, Cubana Chief Priest. DJ Big N, who was also present at the burial venue in Anambra state confirmed that a total of 346 cows, 72 goats and 20 rams were received for the celebration. He also went on to joke that the nightlife mogul now had the option of either becoming a famed herdsman or just giving out some of the cows.

In some of the videos that flooded social media, it looked like the burial ceremony was a very lavish event. With numerous cows, gifts, and expensive drinks gracing the videos. There was also a lot of money being sprayed by the guests.

Prominent individuals attended the celebration, from celebrities, to businessmen and also sportsmen. Attendees included the likes of Alexx Ekubo, Kanayo O. Kanayo, Emmanuel Emenike, Poco Lee and more.

Obi Iyiegbu also known as Obi Cubana is a Nigerian businessman and entrepreneur. He was born on April 12, 1975 in Anambra State.

Back in 1998, Obi Cubana obtained a degree in political science from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. In 2006, he launched the Ibiza Club in Abuja, his first foray into the hospitality space. Since then, he’s gone on to establish the Cubana group. The group includes hotels, clubs and entertainment centers across the country.
