Nigerian Veteran Actress, Ovularia Speaks on Her Death Rumour

Rumors of Veteran Actress, Ovularia’s death began spreading on Twitter on Tuesday by one Churchill Ebhodagbe. The so called rumor peddler frightened us without stating the cause of her rumored death.

Describing the rumor as malicious in the several interviews she granted, the upset Ovularia said those behind the rumor deserve to be punished.

There was never a time I was so sick that it get to the paper or media. I was never so sick that I needed prayer and I made it public.

My sickness is just the sickness of elderly people, arthritis, hypertension, that’s it.

Ovularia in New Masquerade

Lizzy Evoeme, also known as Ovularia is alive and full of life. The actress was the onscreen wife of Chief Zebudaya Okoroigwe alias 4.30 in the rested 1980s sitcom, The Masquerade. Zebudaya had earlier debunked the death rumors in an interview.

Who’s wishing her dead? I am telling you now that Ovuleria is not dead. You can call on the phone and she will speak to you. Wishing her death means that she will live longer,” he said. Although Zebudaya confirmed that the actress is currently suffering from arthritis as well as eyesight problem, “It does not mean that she’s dead,” he added.

Also debunking the rumor, Tony Akpohire who played the role of Zaccheus, Chief Zebudaya‘s house-help confirmed that he just spoke with the Veteran Actress, adding that she is not dead.

The New Masquerade‘ was a Nigerian sitcom that aired on the Nigerian television network during the 1980s until the mid 1990s. It was written and created by James Iroha who also acted in the sitcom as Giringori Akabogu.
