Nigerian rapper Oladips passes away at 28

Oladips, a Nigerian street-hop rapper, has died at the age of 28 after succumbing to an undisclosed illness.

The rapper’s management announced the heartbreaking news on Wednesday. They noted that he died in the late hours of Tuesday.

The rapper had been battling his illness privately for the past two years, according to the post.

The announcement read:

“We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka OLADIPS passed away yesterday Nov’14th Tuesday evening, at exactly 10:14pm. We are still in shock as we speak! For over 2 years he has kept his battles within himself. His body is now with his family & funeral services will be announced as soon as it is concluded! The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss. (amen)”.

The Nigerian rapper, Oladips, reportedly collapsed in the presence of his friends, causing a panic.

A video posted on Instagram by one of his friends captured the moment, with others audibly expressing concern.

The rapper’s collapse led to his friends frantically trying to assist him.

In a subsequent post by the friend, it was mentioned that Oladips was taken home as per his mother’s directive, who allegedly preferred he not be taken to a hospital.

The rapper had earlier posted on his Instagram story, urging his friends to return home and expressing frustration at being left alone in his condition.

His post read,

“Gonlyonelifetime_ Please Where Are You? I Done Call Your Number Tire I Talk Say Make Una No Dey Leave Only Me For This House, I Done Talk This Thing Like A Million Times… Not Even This Period Like This S Please Dey Come House Please Tori Olorun”.

In subsequent posts, it was mentioned that the rapper was taken home as directed by his mother, who preferred he not be taken to a hospital.

Oladips later recorded a conversation with a friend who brought medication, expressing a desire to go to the hospital.

However, his final tweet indicated that he was feeling unwell, urging fans to pray for him.

The rapper’s passing has left family, friends, and fans in mourning.
