Victory Gbakara has emerged as the winner of Nigerian Idol‘s eighth season, securing the grand prize of ₦100 million.
The thrilling announcement was made by the show’s host, IK, during the grand finale in Lagos.
Victory won ₦35 million in cash, a brand new SUV, a one-year supply of Bigi drinks. He also won a week get-away holiday to Cape Town, one year supply of WAW detergent, and other exciting prizes.
Throughout the live show, the viewers had the power to retain or evict contestants through their votes.
After an intense five weeks of auditions and theatre week performances, the top 10 contestants were deemed the best performers by judges. These include Savvy Henry, Constance, Goodness, Abraham, Quest, Precious Mac, Reigny, Ose Daniel, and Chisom.
In the last week leading up to the show’s conclusion, Precious Mac and Victory Gbakara emerged as the top two contestants.
Victory Gbakara’s impressive journey began at the young age of nine when he started singing. He further honed his skills as part of a choir group.
He is a lawyer, singer and song writer who hails from Delta State.
