Nigerian Highlife Veteran, Prince Morocco Maduka Dies at 73

The Nigerian music industry has lost yet another musician as Nigerian Highlife Music Legend, Prince Morocco Maduka passed away.

His death was announced on Thursday, October 29, by the Anambra State Chapter of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN).

“With heavy heart of sorrow…We the entire Anambra state PMAN announce the exit of a music Legend (Dr Prince Morroco Maduka…..Ozonweluibe),” PMAN wrote on its social media pages.

Having started his career at the age of 14, the Anambra born music maestro became popular for his unique music genre, Ekpili.

Prince Morocco was famous for songs like Asiri 98, Ife-Oma, and Akalaka.

The Anambra Chapter of PMAN however promised to announce his burial arrangements soon.

May his soul rest in peace.
