Nigeria at 60: Wizkid Sends Inspiring Message to Youths

Popular singer Ayodeji Balogun otherwise known as Wizkid has sent an inspiring message to Nigerian youths as the country celebrates her 60th independence anniversary.

Speaking during a commemoration programme on Arise TV, the music star encouraged his peers across the country to have faith and be hard working.

According to him, nothing is impossible for a youth to achieve or do.

He said, “I had this conversation with my friend in the studio and I was like we can talk about how crazy and bad the country is, but that’s not going to change anything.

“The most amazing thing you can do is really to empower the youths, and in ways, you can’t even understand. I mean, me being successful, I’ve gone through years of hard work and I’m here now. So I will love for the young people in Nigeria to see that nothing is impossible. We can really take it above and beyond.

“I will always say keep showing the young people that nothing is impossible, do what you’ve got to do, in your field, be excellent.”

The No Stress singer went further to express his confidence in the next generation Nigerian artistes.

While maintaining that he strongly believe these artistes will put the country on the map more than he has done, he noted that he, Davido, and Burna Boy haven’t done anything compared to what the next generation artistes will do.

“Me, Burna Boy, Davido are just scratching the surface; the next generation is going to take the game to the next level,” he noted.
