American comedian and television host, Nick Cannon, has apologised over his announcement of a coming 8th child. The ‘pain or confusion’ the announcement that he’s expecting his eighth child may have caused.
Earlier, Eelive reported that the star is expecting his eighth child with Bre Tiesi. He revealed this in an episode of The Nick Cannon show.
The star hosted a gender reveal party with Tiesi over the weekend in California. Tiesi recently finalised her divorce from Johnny Manziel.
Speaking on the Nick Cannon show on Thursday, Cannon admitted he had misspoken. He said he had ‘probably’ gone into ‘too much detail’ expressing his emotions.
Cannon stated,
“It felt like I was probably making some comparatives or probably discussing when talking about the passing of my son Zen. Then, also talking about the new child that I’m expecting. I didn’t have to do that. I didn’t need to do that,”
He apologized,
“I actually would like to take a moment just to be honest and even take a moment to listen and reflect on what I was saying and what’s popping and apologize properly.
I wish to always protect and respect the privacy of the mothers of all my children and you know me.”
Cannon continued,
” I just really want to be sincere and whether that’s someone who’s new or someone who’s had my child and I have such a great relationship and great admiration for everyone in my life.”
The comedian shares 10-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-wife Mariah Carey. Cannon also has a 4-year-old son Golden “Sagon”, and a 1-year-old daughter Powerful Queen with ex Brittany Bell.
In June 2021, cannon also welcomed 6-month-old twins, Zion Mixolydian and Zillion “Zilly” Heir, with Abby De La Rosa.
