Netflix‘s French hit series Lupin is coming back for a second season this summer. The series, which broke viewership records in January, will resume in a few months time.
After a successful first season, Netflix has renewed the crime drama adventures of Assane Diop ( Omar Sy); a thief who lives his life following Maurice Leblanc’s ‘gentleman burglar’.
Omar Sy will reprise his role as Diop in the new season of Lupin. Joining him in the cast will be Ludivine Sagnier, Antoine Gouy, Shirine Boutella, Soufiane Guerrab, Hervé Pierre, Nicole Garcia and Clotilde Hesme.
The series is loosely based on the Arsene Lupin series by French author Maurice Leblanc. It follows the story of Assane Diop who leads a life of crime; after his father is falsely accused, goes to prison for a crime he did not commit and kills himself.
