Come Monday, March 1, 2021, Netflix will start showing Biggie: I Got a Story to Tell, the first-ever approved documentary about American legendary rapper Notorious B.I.G., whose name is Christopher George Wallace.
According to Netflix, the film will feature Biggie’s mom Voletta Wallace, Diddy, Fait Evans, and others.
With Diddy as one of the executive producers, the documentary is expected to cover the discovery and rise of Notorious B.I.G. and probably the murder of late hip-hop icon, who was killed in 1997.
“Biggie blew up overnight,” Diddy said in the trailer, which features snapshots and archive footage of the highs and lows of Biggie’s unparalleled success. “You have no origins from what rap planet this guy came from.”
“Every legend has an origin story. Christopher Wallace, AKA The Notorious B.I.G., remains one of Hip-Hop’s icons, renowned for his distinctive flow and autobiographical lyrics. This documentary celebrates his life via rare behind-the-scenes footage and the testimonies of his closest friends and family,” the trailer’s description on YouTube reads.
