Netflix set to expand to all the boys I’ve loved before franchise

Video streaming giant, Netflix will be expanding its hit To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before franchise with a ten-episode series titled XO, Kitty.

Netflix announced this on Monday. The new young adult show’s main character is Kitty Song Covey — To All the Boys central character Lara Jean’s (Lana Condor) little sister, as portrayed by Anna Cathcart.

According to Netflix, the series will follow Kitty as she moves halfway across the world to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend. She will realize that “relationships are a lot more complicated when it’s your own heart on the line.”

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is based on the best-selling books by Jenny Han. The fan favorite was released in 2018. It’s huge success led to sequels To All the Boys: P.S. I Still Love You and To All the Boys: Always and Forever.

Han will be the creator of the series. And will act as co-showrunner alongside Sascha Rothchild. Han and Rothchild will co-executive produce with Matt Kaplan of ACE Entertainment. The American author also co-wrote the pilot for XO, Kitty with Siobhan Vivian.
