Reality TV star, Nengi has stated that she was labelled an empty head because of her “big bum.”
In an interview on Joy FM in Ghana, the former BBNaija housemate lamented how she was being stereotyped, saying that was what prompted her decision to participate in the show.
Nengi explained that she decided to be part of the BBNaija Lockdown show to correct the narrative about her, hence the hard work she put.
Her words: “For me, I kind of think I would be stereotyped… Just because I have a big butt, I’m fine, I’m this, and that, I was labelled someone of no value. People just feel that way about fine girls.
“So, I said the first day I entered the show, I am there to correct the narrative. I kind of felt people will put me in that box, and that was what actually happened.
“I put my best in tasks, games, and till today, people still think this one is just an empty head. It’s like I had already prepared myself for it… That was it for me, it wasn’t just about me winning the money.”
Nengi further spoke about her experience since she was disqualified from the show, saying her life has changed for the better.
“The love has been crazy because you will never get used to it. At one point, you will feel like this is it, I have seen it all, but then, like today, I’m in Ghana. I have this much love. It has been a blessing but it can be quite tedious, but you have to be emotionally prepared for it. It’s a lot…
“After all of this, I think I won everything. I am not even going to lie, the platform has been life-changing, it has been a dream come true,” she added.
Nengi was one of the Lockdown housemates of the BBNaija reality TV show.
The 22-year-old entrepreneur who hailed from Bayelsa made it to the show’s grand finale out of the 20 housemates that contested.
She was the second runner up of the season.
