Nigerian rapper and self-proclaimed ‘Lord of Lamba‘ Naira Marley has launched his own record label called Marlian Records. The musician made known his plans to start a record label during his concert on December 30, 2019.
“I want to use the platform to announce my new record label called Marlian Records and it’s for you all. Any of you that has talent can come through,” he said.
It seems like those plans have quickly come to fruition; because not only has Naira Marley started Marlian Records, he has also signed four new artistes!
Naira Marley’s new acts are Zinoleesky, MohBad, Fabian Blu and C-Blvck.
Naira Marley has been on an upward trajectory since he launched his music career in 2018. Despite his run-ins with the law, Marley keeps progressing.
And in literally no time, he is already the boss of a new record label. This just goes to show how far you can go when you have a fandom that feeds off controversy and money to manage your mischief.
Unsurprisingly, his fellow street rapper Zlatan Ibile has also launched his own Zanku Records. Could there be some sort of contest between the two? We have no idea. But for now, we celebrate.
Congratulations, Naira. 2020 already looks good on you.
