Popular Musician, Innocent Idibia, also known as 2baba; veteran actor, Richard Mofe-Damijo; comedian, Okey Bakassi; and actress, Ini Edo have been unveiled as judges for the new reality TV show, Naija Hood Rep.
The launch of the reality TV show is designed to celebrate talents in different areas (hoods) of the country.
Neville Sajere, the Chief Executive Officer of Nevada Bridge TV and coordinator of the show stated that the aim of the show is to promote the culture and values of the country.
Sajere further disclosed that the winner of the show would go home with N20m and a car, while the first runner-up would get N10m, and the second runner-up would get N5m.
He said, “I want the world to see what our cultures and values are. We are people of high morals and high standards. I also want the world to know that we are not divided; we are one people. The aim of the show is to promote our culture and values.
“It is about promoting everything that represents us as Nigerians. We have a lot of positive qualities that we don’t seem to talk about, and that is what we intend to achieve with the show. The winner would go home with N20m and a car, while the first runner-up would get N10m, and the second runner-up would get N5m.”
While speaking on what the judges would be looking for in contestants, RMD said, “We would be looking at the originality in all of them. I like the fact that we have never had this kind of show. I like to push the envelope a bit. One of the reasons we are doing this is to give the contestants an opportunity to speak their truth.”
