In the past few years, Mr Eazi’s career has seen some major upsides, with multiple fantastic features and achievements to his name. In a recent interview with the sound geeks at Hot 97, he talks about his career so far and how the internet and streaming platforms have helped in expanding his fan base/market.
Speaking to Hot 97 OAP, Ebro Darden, on his show “Ebro In The Morning”, Mr Eazi noted that artistes in countries with limited access to data and WiFi are at a disadvantage to their counterparts, who are able to conveniently share their music to listeners who can stream or download it with ease.
Noticing this a hindrance for African artistes, in particular, he announced a new deal with Africa’s biggest telecommunications network, MTN, which allows customers watch videos on the “EmPawa” YouTube platform at zero data cost.
