Money Heist: How Netflix Plans To End Series

Popular Spanish drama series, Money Heist is finally coming to an end with its much-awaited season five. This is according to Netflix, the platform with the streaming right to show the international juggernaut.

Captioning a picture, showing a Salvador Dalí mask, broken, and lying on the ground, Netflix wrote on Twitter; “Do you have your mask ready? You’re going to need it one last time 💰 #MoneyHeist Season 5, confirmed ✅.”

Production for the upcoming fifth season, which will be the last of Money Heist, according to EW, an American entertainment magazine, will begin on Monday, August 3, 2020, in Denmark.

Following the production, filming of the 10-episode series will then begin in Spain and Portugal.

Speaking of the development, Álex Pina, Money Heist‘s producer, and director said; “We have spent almost a year thinking about how to destroy the band. How to put the Professor on the ropes? How to get into situations that are irreversible for many characters? The result is the fifth season of La Casa de Papel. The war reaches its most extreme and savage levels, but it is also the most epic and exciting season.”

The forthcoming season will have some new faces. Actors like Miguel Ángel Silvestre, a Spanish role-interpreter known for his character as Lito in Netflix’s Sense8, and

The Professor and his team’s world will have some new faces in it next season. Actors Miguel Ángel Silvestre (above), known for playing Sense8’s Lito, and Patrick Criado, who’s also a Spanish actor, are joining the ensemble cast.

While Money Heist‘s producer and director didn’t reveal full details about the new faces and how they’ll fit into the story, he however teased what their addition mean to the season finale. “We always try that our opponents be charismatic, intelligent, shiny,” he explained. “In this case, in a pure war film genre, we also look for characters whose intelligence can measure up against The Professor’s.”
