Apostle Oluwabamiwo Aloba, father of late Street Hop sensation Mohbad, is set to release a gospel album in memory of his son.

The sad news of the death of Street Hop sensation Mohbad, who died at the age of 27, rocked the Nigerian music industry in 2023.

Months after the musician’s death, his father announced the release of a new gospel album.

The album titled ‘Itunu’ means “Comfort” in English. It is a tribute to his late son Mohbad.

Mohbad’s death was one of the most significant events in the Nigerian music industry in 2023.

Tributes poured in from colleagues and fans across the country.

Meek Mill, Lil Durk, and Kodak Black, all American rappers, also paid tribute to the late artist.

Mobad’s death prompted calls for a thorough investigation into allegations of bullying and oppression levelled by some former associates.

Mohbad’s father’s upcoming album will join a long list of tribute songs dedicated to the late musician who was one of Street Hop’s most prominent emissaries.
