Mo Abudu acknowledges criticism of Chief Daddy 2

Nigerian media mogul, Mosunmola Abudu, popularly known as Mo Abudu, has acknowledged the criticism of her latest movie, Chief Daddy 2.

The CEO of  EbonyLife shared a video on instagram, expressing her thanks to viewers who shared their concerns with the sequel. She captioned the post, 

“Thank you so much for caring, and for sharing your concerns so passionately.”

Abudu assured that the EbonyLife team had received support from viewers for their other productions. And they should know that their voices expressing disappointment “are heard.” She further stated that the team welcomes constructive criticism.

The 57 year old wrote, “We appreciate your constructive feedback. This way, my team and I can continuously improve ourselves so we can deliver the great quality productions you have come to expect from EbonyLife studios.”

Chief Daddy 2: Going For Broke was largely criticized by fans after its release on the 1st of January. The movie was directed by Niyi Akinmolayan and produced by Mo Abudu. Chief Daddy 2 is a sequel to Chief Daddy, which premiered in 2018.

The sequel follows the life of the Beecroft family following the death of the head of the family, who is fondly called Chief daddy. It features his family, friends, and staff scrambling for their share of his fortune. 

It starred Nollywood’s finest including, Funke Akindele Bello, Kate Henshaw, Nkem Owoh, Joke Silva, Patience Ozokwor, Richard Mofe Damijo and Racheal Oniga.
