Nigerian musician, Jude Abaga, professionally known as MI, has revealed plans to change his current stage name and release a new album.
He revealed this on Thursday in a post on his Instagram page.
The is following the release of his collaborative album project with A-Q, Blaqbones, The Lamb is Back.
Although he did not reveal his new stage name, he disclosed that he plans to drop his former stage name because his upcoming album deserves to be released under a new nomenclature.
He further stated that he would be performing for the last time as MI Abaga on July 10. He wrote,
“After over 15 Years as Mister Incredible, I will be retiring the name ‘MI Abaga’. And taking on a new name for a new project because my new project is hard AF and deserves a new name”.
He continued, “My final act as MI will be a performance at The Vibe on the 10th of July, where I will celebrate my legacy as Africa’s Greatest Rapper. See you all on stage.”
His new album, The Guy, is slated for release in August.
