Ex-BBNaija housemate, Mercy Eke broke down into tears and can barely talk, as she managed to reveal that her mother nearly aborted her after finding out she was pregnant.
In an interview on the premiere of her joint reality TV show with Ike (her fellow housemate and boyfriend), the winner of the 2019 edition of the BBNaija show, narrated that her mother attempted to abort her due to poverty.
According to her, the family at the time was suffering. They could not afford to bring another child into the world.
While vowing to make her mother proud, Eke held that the poverty tale from her mother really touched her. It made her decide that she must be successful.
