Mercy Chinwo clinches ‘Best International Artist’ at UK’s Premier Gospel Awards

Nigerian gospel singer, Mercy Chinwo, has clinched the ‘Best International Artist’ at the recently concluded United Kingdom’s Premier Gospel Awards.

The event, which held on Friday at the prestigious Cadogan Hall in London, successfully celebrated 50 years of gospel music.

Mercy Chinwo defeated eight other contestants to emerge the best International artist of the year at the awards ceremony.

The singer as well as her husband took to their social media pages to celebrate.

“God is Good. Thanks for the honour @premiergospel. To everyone of you who voted, thank you God bless you all,” Chinwo wrote.

Her husband, Blessed Uzochikwa, in statement wrote “The 2023 Best International Act Winner at the Premier Gospel Awards in the United Kingdom coming to you my beloved wife is testament to your hard work, dint of determination and unbended focus. It is a reminder that serving God pays.”

Furthermore, Samuel Onwubiko, the Nigerian artiste better known as Limoblaze, won the ‘Best Male Vocalist’ and ‘Best Song’ categories respectively for his song ‘Jireh (My Provider)’.
