Marie NDiaye’s new novel “The Cheffe,” published by Penguin Random House, is due out in October, 2019.
In her newest novel, Marie NDiaye weaves the story of a legendary French female chef, recognized as the best in a world dominated by men, her pursuit for love, pleasure and gustatory delights helped shape her life and career. Marie, known for writing about strong female characters, did even more in this new amazing novels.
Born to a French mother and a Senegalese father, NDiaye grew up in the suburbs of Paris. She won the 2009 Prix Goncourt Award for her book, “Three Strong Women.” Her book “Ladivine” was longlisted for the Man Booker International Prize, and shortlisted in 2017 for Best Translated Book Award.
