Popular singer, Wizkid has hinted that he’s no longer dropping his much-anticipated, Made In Lagos.
Recall that eelive.ng had reported that the No Stress singer will release his fourth body of work on Thursday, October 15, 2020.
But with his tweet yesterday (Thursday, October 13), Wizkid announced that Made In Lagos will not be released.
The music star made this disclosure after a fan asked him: “#SarsMustGoNow ……but @wizkidayo MIL go still drop?” He then replied, “Not yet !! Mad times!!”
Going by what he stated, Wizkid might have postponed the project due to the ongoing global protest against police brutality in Nigeria, which has taken over the cyberspace.
For some days now, Wizkid, amongst other music stars around the world have called for the end of extra-judicial killings, wanton arrests, and dispossession of properties through physical assault and other intimidation tactics, often perpetrated by notorious operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), a defunct unit of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF).
Although, President Muhammadu Buhari-led government has disbanded SARS; the protest is still ongoing, as many people are still suffering from police brutality despite the action.
