Lupita Nyong’o Takes her Mask Off in New Movie- “Us”

Jordan Peele is out with another movie targeted at yanking your hearts out and leaving you squirming on your seats. The producer of award-winning movie, “Get Out” is set to release another mind-blowing movie (we can tell from the trailer) titled “Us”, in March 2019.

Lupita Nyong’o who stars in the film is the matriarch of a family of four that journey off to their beach house looking to enjoy the summer with friends but their vacation becomes a terrible nightmare when another of family of four that looks just them attacks them. Yes, they were attacked by a family of doppelgangers.

The movie also features Winston Duke (of Black Panther), Elisabeth Moss, Time Heidecker and more.

The film was first announced in February 2018 and much of the cast joined in the summer of that year.

Peele produces this movie alongside Jason Blum and Sean McKittrick (with whom he produced Get Out and BlacKkKlansman) and Ian Cooper.

For actors like Lupita, this is her first feature on a horror flick. She had stated that she was excited to work with a director like Jordan Peele. She went ahead to say that she burst into tears at their first meeting when he asked her what her process for acting was. She had never had the chance to work with a conscientious director interested in the working habits of their actors.

“Us” will have its world premiere on March 8, 2019 and will be released in the United States on March 22, 2019 by Universal Pictures.
