
Natasha Osaworu, the fiancée of Nigerian music icon 2Baba, has come under heavy criticism after introducing herself as “Natasha Irobosa Osaworu, née Idibia” during a plenary session at the Edo State House of Assembly.
In the video seen by eelive. ng, Osaworu, who represents the Egor constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly, introduced herself, saying, “My name is Honourable Natasha Irobosa Osaworu, née Idibia.”
Osaworu, sparked reactions among Nigerians on social media, for adopting the singer’s last name, ‘Idibia’, as her maiden name.

The reaction stemmed from her well-known connection to the famous singer, whose real name is Innocent Ujah Idibia.
Amongst those who reacted, is popular media Personality Osi Suava, who via the microblogging platform X formerly Twitter slammed Osaworu for her ‘poor introduction.’
He wrote: “Look at this illiterate. Née means born Meaning your maiden name or the name you had at birth before you changed it due to marriage.”
